Well folks, thats the first day over, and i have been amazed at some of the new styles and colours that are being launched. The new seasons styles are away from plastic/acetate and its now all about metal. Supra frames ( no frames at the bottom) or side supra with a gap at the side. Lots of detail on the side, two tone colours and latest material types. There is a new plastic material that is unbreakable, and is being used by quite a few manufacturers. I also saw a Magnetic Polarised sunglass lens that can be attached to ANY frame perfectly. This is cutting edge technology and i am hoping to bring this back home. Stay tuned on that one. Anyway, after a long day, the bright lights of Paris are awaiting me.

The last few months have been the busiest that I’ve had in over 10 years. Making the decision to change the business from a manufacturing Lab to an Opticians practice has been stressful and exhausting to say the least. But, I’m finally there. Just in time for my favourite time of the year, Silmo. This Annual Optical exhibition takes place in Paris and is where I buy most of my frames. You can check out their site at www.silmo.fr I am really excited about this years show. I have an appointment with a French supplier who currently does not sell in the UK. Their ranges are excellent and some of the colours and styles are the best I’ve seen in a long time. Click the link below to check them out.
The new stock will arrive early October, when we will be increasing our eye testing days to 4 a week. We will also be adding a Hearing Clinic one day a week, offering digital hearing aids at a fraction of the high street price. So, we have an exciting and busy few weeks ahead of us.
